Donna M. White passed away on April 19, 2017, surrounded by her family.  Donna was born on January 5, 1935 in Hancock to F. Loren and Lyda M. Rogers.  She graduated from the Ontonagon High School with the class of 1953.  When she was a junior in High School she became Miss Ontonagon County Winter Queen of 1952.  On October 14, 1953 she married her high school sweetheart William L. White.  They raised 2 children, Michael W. White and Marcia Aho-Black.  They made their home in Ontonagon, Twin Lakes and Pinellas Park, Florida.  Donna worked at the 1St National Bank (now The Miners State Bank) for 27 years.  She enjoyed playing piano, organ, singing in the choir, playing cards, entertaining friends and spending time with her family.  She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and was in the altar society and choir.  One of her great accomplishments was helping to organize the Ontonagon County Queen Society that would lead to the opportunity of the Miss Michigan competition.

She was preceded in death by her husband William L. White, her parents F. Loren and Lyda Rogers and baby brother Fredrick Jr., her in-laws Herman, Caroline and Betty White, brother in-laws Donald White and Ronald Kosey.  She is survived by her children Michael (Vicki) White and Marcia Aho-Black.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Corey and Matthew White, Brian (Jamie) Aho, Jesse (Shaina) Aho, Lianne (Dale) Rantala, Eric (Donna) Perryman and great grandchildren Holden Bradfield, Jaxon, Cooper and Carter Aho, sister- in-law Patricia Kosey, brother –in- law Wayne White and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In accordance with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be May 5, 2017. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Holy Family Church, with burial to take place in the family plot at the Holy Family Cemetery.      In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontonagon Cancer Assoc. , St. Vincent DePaul and the Aspirus Hospital Foundation.
