Doreen Hellen Binkley 86 of Ontonagon passed away on December 30, 2020 at Bayside Village Nursing Home in L'Anse

Doreen was born in Flin Flon Manitoba Canada on October 20, 1934. She married Alan Murray Binkley on August 27, 1952 in Hudson Bay Saskatchewan Canada.

Doreen was president of the Ontonagon Chamber of Commerce, Owner of Lake of the Clouds Motel and Cabins in Silver City. She was also  part of the Little Theater Group in Ontonagon, a Weight Watchers leader, a girl scout leader and a judge of the Christmas Parade for many years.

Doreen is survived by 3 daughters. Sharon (Scott) Karttunen, Mona Binkley and Shelley (Mike) Lindquist, 7 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alan Binkley, daughter Lori Koistinen, parents Adam & Edna Halliday, brother Lloyd Halliday, sister Joy Skoviak, grandson Dennis Koistinen, son in law Jack Shilman and grand son in law Frank Steiner IV.

At the deceased request, a private family service is planned for a later date.

The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family.
