Doris Mae Truscott 83 of Greenland passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Portage Health System in Hancock, MI

She was born on August 30, 1934 to the late William & Lucille (Doverspike) Weisinger. Doris graduated from Ontonagon High School in June of 1952. On September 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Eugene Loren Truscott.

Family was Doris' life. Her house was always open to family. Doris loved seeing and spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren, lighting up for them right to her last moments.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting and baking. Her children and grandchildren have many wonderful keepsakes that she made. Doris was also very active in the Greenland United Methodist Church and the churches women's group.

She is survived by her children Ken (Lisa) Truscott, Sandy (Bruce) Roehm, George (Amy) Truscott and Lynn (Paul) Huotari, grandchildren Michael (Kristen) Truscott, Shaina (Jesse) Aho, Todd (Debbie) Roehm, Gina (Todd) Penegor, Chelsea (Jeff Pestka) Truscott and Damon, Lauren & Cale Houtari, great grandchildren Aubree, Adelyn, Cooper, Carter, Blake, Ty, Daisy, AJ, Ike, Molly & Connor, brothers Carl & Jim (Sharon) Weisinger and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and many sisters & brothers-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at the Greenland United Methodist Church on Thursday November 30th at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland. Luncheon will be held at the Mass City Community Center.
