Dorotha J. Ross 91 of Ontonagon passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 7, 2009.

She was born on July 18, 1917 in Ontonagon to Robert and Esther Davison. She graduated from Ontonagon High School with the class of 1935.

Dorotha was united in marriage to the late Thomas Ross on January 29, 1944. They lived in Iron Mountain until their retirement. Upon retirement they moved to Ontonagon and had resided there ever since. Dorotha was a member of the Kitchen Band, the VFW Auxiliary and a life member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her sister Donna Davison and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great niece and nephews and cousins.

Dorotha was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Ross, brothers Chester, Robert (Marion) and William (Janet) Davison, sister Sandra Mattson and great nephew Jeremy Davison.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12th at 1 p.m. at the Siloa Lutheran Church in Ontonagon. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
