Dorothy M. Tessmer 86 of Ontonagon passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit.

She was born on April 30, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late Joseph & Mary (Krajenka) Zielinski. In 1943 she was united in marriage to Lawrence R. Tessmer in Pampa, TX where he was stationed during his time in the service. Lawrence preceded her in death on September 29, 2003.

Dorothy is survived by her son Raymond L. Tessmer and daughter in law Cindy A. Tessmer of Ontonagon, granddaughter Cassandra (Tim) McGraw, great granddaughter Alexis M. McGraw and great grandson Kyle McGraw all of Columbus, IN, sister Joann (John) Bellardo of Sterling Heights, MI, sister-in-law Bernice Schultz of Eastpointe, MI and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral or visitation. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
