Ed grew up in Tennessee, in the family newspaper, learning to read upside down and backwards with the hand-set type.  After surviving  Viet Nam, he worked at the Press Club D.C, and partnered in a dart pub in Alexandria, VA.  He worked underground  in White Pine Mine and at the Ontonagon Herald before buying Double D Printing, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and trivia.  "Retch and Rancid"  will never be the same.  Over the years he had been involved in the Ottawa Lions Club,  Chamber of Commerce and the South Ontonagon County Food Pantry.

Ed is survived by his wife; Ann; Children, Laura (Elden) Burke, Karen (Greg) Pepin, Jennifer (Jamie) Jackman and Curtis (Jennifer) Burroughs; Son-in-law Jeff (Vicki) Szanto; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grand children.   Brothers,  Al (Cathy) Sanborn and Ronald Burroughs,  Sister; Jean (Al) Becker, Sister-in-law, Nancy (Dean) Robinson.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Roy Burroughs, daughter, Marsha Burroughs,  sister; Gloria August.

Donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens's Hospital, Aspirus MedEvac or SONCO Ambulance.

A celebration of Eds life will be held at a future date.  Ed will be disappointed with this obituary.  He always said he would have the shortest obituary- "Eds Dead"

RIP my Dear, I'll find you again.
