Edward Applekamp, 90, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Duluth, MN.

He was born in Bergland to William and Adela (Grapentine) Applekamp on August 31, 1929. He graduated from Bergland High School and then married his first wife  Rayetta (Peters) Applekamp. Together they had 2 children Judy and Michael.

Edward worked at White Pine Mine where he retired years later. He married Betty Andrus in his later life. Edward was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed many activities including metal detecting, farming, gardening and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Betty, two children Judy and Michael, along with 8 step children, numerous grand children and great grand children, as well as brothers Earl and Kenny Applekamp.

Edward is preceded by his first wife Rayetta, sister Irene Frisk & brothers William and Fritz Applekamp.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 3 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bergland with Pastor Timothy Steckling officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery in Bergland.
