Edward Dean Podkomorka.- 66, of Ontonagon, passed away Sunday March 10th, 2024 at 3pm in Marquette Hospital. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Ed was born August 27th 1957 in Hancock Michigan to Jan and Ruth Podkomorka of Ontonagon.

He is survived by brothers Mike and Frank and sister Jeannie Picotte (husband Ed). Also 4 nieces Christine Zielinski (husband Paul) ,Gillian VanTreese (husband Jack) Amanda Podkomorka, Francesca Nelson (husband Blake) and nephews Jonathon Podkomorka, Charles Picotte.. Also great niece and nephew Islay and Jack.VanTreese.

Ed graduated from OAHS in 1975 and worked at Chapmans hardware, then at the Ontonagon papermill. Ed had an accident in Sept. 1985 and was paralyzed, wheel chair bound the remainder of his days.. Loving brother, a real gentleman, always mindful of friends birthdays, generous and forgiving to all. Ed was a big Sci-fi collector that occupied much of his time at home. Interested in astronomy, fireworks, lasers, music and GB Packers. He always was happy to share his many interest with friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat. April 13th, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church by Father Michael Jacobus at 11am. Burial will be in the spring.
