Edward Michael Skoviak, age 86, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Granger, Indiana.  Edward was born in Trimountain, MI. September 2, 1930 to Edward and Barbara (Iskra) Skoviak.  He married Shirley Colclasure, November 21, 1953 in Ontonagon, MI.  Edward graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1948.  He worked for the UP Power Company for 39 years.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1951.

He is survived by his wife Shirley (Colclasure). two sons; Edward (Jody) of N. Ridgeville, Ohio and James (Sheri) of Bremen, Indiana.  One daughter Patty (Ed) Kipela.  Also 13 GC and 7GGC, Four sisters; Carol (Gerry) Monk, Virginia (Lloyd) Taeger, Barbara (Jim) Grieser and Connie Lowrie.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Skoviak, sister Katherine Casey and one brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.

Visitation will take place Monday, May 8, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church and a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM.  Burial will take place in Holy Family Cemetery.

The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family.
