Eleanor Fruik, 99, of Bergland, passed away December 8, 2010 in Wakefield. She was born January 10, 1911 to the late Henry and Maria (Jarvi) Besonen in Oulu, WI.

Eleanor moved to Trout Creek with her 11 siblings as a young child with her parents, she attended local schools and was a waitress and housekeeper.

Eleanor married Ralph Fruik, Sr. In 1947, they moved to the Chicago area and in 1955 they moved to Bergland. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bergland and the PTA.

Eleanor is survived by 1 son, Ralph (Lorraine Gay) of Bergland; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. (Don) Michelle Geist and Mrs. (Ken) Amy Libertoski; 5 great grandchildren, Kyle ,Stephanie, Justin, Jacob, and Jill.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Gary Fruik.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
