Eleanor Nashland died at the wonderful age of 97 on Monday, November 9, 2015.  She was born October 12, 1918 in Green Valley, WI to parents Edward & Jessie Olson

Eleanor moved to Ewen at the age of 7 and graduated from Ewen High School.  She was employed by Dr. Hague and Dr. Campbell before marring the love of her life Charles Nashland on October 15, 1938. They were married 51 years.

Her husband Charles preceded her in death as well as her 4 brothers; Marvin, Harold, Sylvester & Lewis, her sister Lucille & her 2 granddaughters Sandy & Tracy.

Eleanor leaves behind her 2 daughters Lois Gilbert of Titusville, FL & Betty (Bud) Schilling of Menomonee, WI, 3 grandchildren Susie (Shawn) Coleman, Todd (Lisa) Schilling & Gail Gilbert and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, past president,  former treasurer & life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Ewen Methodist Church. She was loved by her family and all her nieces and nephews.

Eleanor treated all who met her with attention & care. She had the gift of making friends and family feel that each was the most important person in the room. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters.

Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date. The Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel is assisting the family.
