Ellen LaVerne Hinklin entered Eternal Life on Thursday June 23, 2016 with her family at her side.

Ellen, also known as "Sis", was born in Land O' Lakes, WI on August 8, 1936.  She lived in that area until 1954 when she married Richard Hill (deceased), father of their four children: RIchard (deceased), Sandy (Fred), Laina (Bill, deceased) and Carol (Tim).  They lived and raised their family in Trout Creek until 1977.  Ellen worked at the Gateway Hotel, Tulppos restaurant and Lac Vieux Desert Casino.  She married Earl Niemi (deceased) in 1985. In 2008, Ellen met someone very special, John Hinklin. They married and moved from John's hometown of Lacy, WA to Bruce Crossing, MI.

Ellen was the daughter of Bob and LaVerne Davis, being the second eldest in the family.  Her siblings include Bobby (deceased) Jim (Rose, deceased), David (deceased) (Mary), Barry (deceased), Carol Youngren (Leonard), Mike, Linda Buschner (Don).  She was the LOVING grandmother to grandsons, Jesse (Diane), Jon (Justine), Tim (Jen), Josh (Raluca), Sam (Alison); granddaughters, Jamie (Dwayne), Christa (Mark), Nikki (Joe), Amanda (Johnny) and Jolene. Great grandchildren include, Muffy (Stephanie), Chasey, Sam, Jennah, David, Owen, Elliot, Cara, Maev, Kelsey, Kyle, Zoey, Trinity, Jaziana and Jayda .  Ellen loved life - she loved her family and friends. She loved being around people.

To celebrate Ellen's life, please join us on Wednesday June 29th at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Trout Creek at 2 p.m., 1 p.m. visitation.  Luncheon to follow.
