Obituary

Elmer Leslie Bridson 79 of Ontonagon passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his home.

He was born on June 30, 1929 in Fife Lake, MI, son of the late Elmer & Marie (Baum) Bridson. Elmer attended the Ontonagon High School and later served as a paratrooper in the United States Army. During his service in the Korean War he earned a Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and a United Nations Service Medal.

Elmer worked for over 40 years at the Kohler Company where he was an active member of the Quarter Century Club.

Shortly after his retirement, Elmer moved back home to Ontonagon. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing and four wheeler riding. He also loved to spend time with his honorary grandchildren.

Elmer is survived by his son Brad (Joy) Bridson of Kiel, WI, grandson Fielder Bridson, sister Goldie (Wilho) Aho of Ontonagon, brothers, John Borgen of Ontonagon, Keith (Linda) Bridson of Fife Lake, MI, Richard (Kathy) Bridson of Manton, MI, Bernie (Anna May) Bridson of Traverse City, MI, sister Ruth (Vern) Meeuwenberg of Muskegon, MI, special Nephew Dan (Jean) Piippo, special niece Cheryl (Ed) Garcia of White Pine and special friend Etta Guilbault of Greenland and her family Dianne (Harold) Reichardt and family of Ishpeming, William (Ly) Guilbault and family of Colorado Springs, CO and Dave (Betsy) Guilbault and family of Greenland, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife LaVerne and sister-in-law Belle Borgen.

Funeral service will take place Tuesday, March 17th at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the Funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Additional services will be held at Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home in Sheboygan, WI on Thursday at 6p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home in Sheboygan from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan, WI.
