Elsie M. Guilbault 96 passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wausau, WI.

She was born July 29, 1912 in Ontonagon to the late William and Mable Roehm . Elsie was united in marriage to Louis Guilbault in February of 1929. Together, they raised 5 children, Robert, Charlie, Clifford, Francis and Nancy. He preceded her in death in 1977.

At on time she worked in Ontonagon at the Tot and Teen Shop. Elsie always thought it was funny that her paycheck was gone before she got it as she loved to purchase all the new outfits that came in for her grandchildren. In 1999 Elsie moved to Wausau, WI with her son Clifford and his family.

She is survived by her sons Clifford and Francis Guilbault, daughter Nancy Penegor, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons Charlie and Robert.

Funeral services were held at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon on Friday February 13th. Spring burial will take place in the Holy Family Cemetery. The Cane Funeral Home assisted the family.
