Eva Mae Gregorich, 91, a lifelong resident of Greenland passed away October 2, 2013 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit.
She was born June 20, 1922 in Greenland to Albert and Vera Rogers, and was their last surviving child. She married Stanley Gregorich May 20, 1939.
Eva was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for her grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and was a kind, friendly, giving woman. She loved Christmas, and also like to play Bingo and cards with her lady friends.
Eva is survived by her sons Bernard (Christine) Gregorich of Ontonagon and Fredrick (Marilyn) Gregorich of Greenland; daughter Debra (Joseph) Laukka of Ontonagon; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her very special friend, Rosie Geist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Bernadine Hakola; son-in-law Raymond Hakola; granddaughter Connie (Gregorich) Mathis; 8 sisters and a brother.
Funeral Services for Eva will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Greenland United Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Steinberg officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a gesture of sympathy are asked to donate to their preferred charity or organization.
