Obituary

Florence Lillian Aho passed into eternal life Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Aspirus Ontonagon Long Term Care Unit where she had been a resident.

Florence was born July 20, 1923, in Ontonagon to William and Ida Siren. She was a graduate of Mass High School.

On November 27, 1943, she married Larry Aho of Greenland and they made their home in rural Mass City. Larry preceded her in death in June 1991.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Mabel Martin and Doris Yaklyvich.

Florence, a loving mother, is survived by her four children, Nancy (Howard) Broemer of Gwinn, Kenneth of Ontonagon, Thomas of Clawson, Mich and David (Donna) of Grafton, Wis.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo of Mass City; a sister, Alma Bojanic of Livonia, Mich; two aunts, Sylvia Sorvari of Ontonagon and Beatrice Miilu of Mass City; numerous nieces and nephews, especially Vivian Store of Ontonagon.

Florence always had a smile for everyone and looked at the bright side of things. She loved to play cards and scrabble with her many friends. She was their chauffeur when they went to different events. She especially cherished visits from her family. Florence will be greatly missed.

She was a member of the Wainola Lutheran Church. At her request, she will be cremated.

Visitation will be Monday November 10 from 10 a.m. at the Cane Funeral Home with a memorial service at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are handled by Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon.
