Gary S. Hoffman 55 of Ontonagon passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.

He was born in Ontonagon on November 12, 1953 to the late Sylvester & Mabel (Metsala) Hoffman. Gary enjoyed watching all types of sports and was an avid packer fan. He liked to hunt, collect baseball cards and tinker with his computer. Gary was employed as the groundskeeper at the Ontonagon Golf Club.

He is survived by his sister Gail Ollila, niece Amanda Ollila and several other aunts, uncles and extended family members.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Hoffman and brother-in-law Jim Ollila.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Noon at the Cane Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Neider officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
