Obituary

Gerald Byron Baker 72 of Ontonagon, MI passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at his home.

He was born January 16, 1936 in Bay City, MI. He served in the U.S. Army and spent 14 months in the Korean War, earning the National Defense Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Korean Service Ribbon.

Gerald worked construction and also was a union chief steward at Motor Wheel in Lansing, MI.

He was united in marriage to Jacqueline (Fegan) Baker on September 24, 1960. During his lifetime, his interest included cooking, traveling, hunting and fishing.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, mother, 2 sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline, 2 sons Van and Eric, 3 daughters Tammy, Vickie and Amy, 5 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30th at St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church in Prescott, MI at 11 a.m. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be in the Richland Township Cemetery, Prescott, MI.
