Goldie Marie Aho, a longtime resident of Ontonagon, Michigan, passed away on May 2, 2017 at Century Ridge Elder Care in Green Bay, WI at age 92.  She was a resident there for the past year.  Goldie was born in Kalkaska County, MI on January 22, 1925 a daughter of the late Marie (Coster) and Richard Borgen.

She attended schools at Fife Lake, Lake City, and Ontonagon, MI.

In 1946, Goldie married Roy Piippo who passed away in 1952.  She later married Roy's best friend, Wilho Aho, who passed away in 2016.  They were married for 63 years.

Goldie is survived by her son Dan (Jean) Piippo, grandchildren, Dan Jr. (Claudia), Jim (Marie), Duane (Eric) all of Green Bay WI.  Great grandchildren: Megan, Brianne, and Josh Piippo of Florida, Dannah Oslund of Green Bay, and many dear friends.

She is further survived by a special niece Cheryl (Ed Garcia) of White Pine, MI, half sisters: Rolene Holt of Cathdral City, CA, Mary (Joe) Leu, of Mass, MI, Josie (Ron) Clay of Fife Lake, MI, half brothers: Charles Borgen, Doyle Borgen, Ken (Gloria) Borgen all of the Fife Lake area.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Roy and Wilho, brother: John Borgen, half brothers: Elmer Bridson, Frank Borgen, Dick Borgen , half sister Ursal Clay and her beloved cat Tiger.

Goldie enjoyed her flowers, watching her garden grow, watching god's creatures and little children.  She cherished the visits from her family and friends.  She would read cards and letters from her friends over and over again.  She always received a feeling of comfort from them.

Visitation will be at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon on May 13 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, followed by a prayer service and burial at Riverside Cemetery.
