Obituary

Harlan Hill, Ontonagon, formerly of White Pine, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at his home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Chassell.

On April 4, 1953, he married Rose Koskela in Chassell.

Harlan was a longtime employee of White Pine Copper and a member of Steelworkers Union Local 5024.

He was a charter member of the Ontonagon Eagles Club.

Harlan enjoyed visiting with his friends and family members. He was especially proud of his grandchildren, keeping in contact with them as they grew up and started families of their own.

Harlan is survived by his wife, Rose Hill of Houghton; three daughters, Cindy (Carel) Lane of Fairbanks, Alaska, Diana (Anthony) Meneguzzo of White Pine, and Debra (Steven) Manninen of Fayal Township, Minn.; and a son, Michael of Oshkosh, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald; sisters, Lora Lee Huhta, Brenda Ervast and Arlene Vuorinen; his mother-in-a-law, Lillian Koskela; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harlan was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Hill; mother, Pearl Mutkala; and brother, Ronald Hill.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at a later date.
