Harold W. Peltola, 68, of Agate, passed away May 29, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born May 25, 1944 in Ontonagon to the late Andrew and Wilamea (Hautamaki) Peltola.

Harold attended local schools and on April 21, 1979 he married Dolores "Doe-Doe" Hokkanen.

They made their home in Agate.

Harold worked for White Pine Copper for 25 years and was also a logger working for P&M

Logging. Harold and his wife Doe-Doe ran the Agate Falls Bar.

Harold is survived by his wife, Doe-Doe; one daughter, Mrs. Shannon (Pat) Nippa of Bruce

Crossing; one granddaughter, Chelsea of Bruce Crossing; nephews, William (Joann) of

Colonial Beach, VA, James of Madison, WI, and Robert of Bruce Crossing; five great-nephews and one great-niece.

A celebration of life and remembrance will be held at Sunnyside Bar on Saturday, June 2, 2012, starting at 2:00 P.M.

Dennis Brown of the Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
