Helen A. Fischer, 96, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield.

Helen was born on February 14, 1920 in Ontonagon, Michigan, to Walter and Anna (Beil) Derochowski and was a graduate of Ontonagon High School.  She married Stanley J. Fischer on July 12, 1947 in Ontonagon.  He Died on May 6, 1990.

Helen had been employed at Upper Pennisula Power Company for 40 years until her retirement in 1990.  She enjoyed, gardening, knitting, baking, singing in the church choir and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her children, Jim (Linda) Fischer of Taylor, WI, Ann (Robert) Davison of Gladstone, MI, Mary (James) Beathard of Mansfield, WI and John (Deborah) Fischer of Oneida, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son, Robert Fischer and brothers, Joe, Zig and Jimmy Derochowski

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 13th at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon.  Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
