Henry Arthur Stephens, 87, of Vulcan, MI passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022 at Gardenview Memory Care Assisted Living in Calumet, MI.

Henry was born in Trimountain, MI to Charles and Julia (Kehus) Stephens on March 16, 1933. He went to school at Jeffer's in South Range, MI. He married his childhood sweetheart, Irene Aho on November 12, 1955. He worked as an engineer at White Pine Copper Mine until they closed and then went to work at Quinnesec Paper Mill in Quinnesec, MI until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean war and served in the Navy. He was also a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford, MI.

Henry is survived by four children; Mark and (Carol) Stephens, Dennis and (Laurie) Stephens, Donna and (Roger) Ruuti and Todd Stephens; two sisters, Jean and Julie; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother David.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer at his house in Vulcan, MI.

The family of Henry wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Gardenview staff, where he lived for the last 2 1/2 years, the Aspirus Hospital in Laurium and Hospice. Thank you all for taking such good care of our Dad.
