Herbert Usima 84 of Bruce Crossing passed away in Ontonagon on September 12, 2007 he was born July 14th 1923 in Bruce Crossing to the late Charles and Laura (Lantto) Usima
Herbert grew up on the No. Baltimore Rd and attended local school, he wa employed by the North Star Creamery in Bruce Crossing, the U.S. forest Service in Kenton, and he retired from White Pine Copper as a driller/blaster. He loved to read books and hunt.
Herbert is survived by nephews Carl Bono and great nephews and nieces Wendy, Greg, Susan, and Brian, and a great great Nephew David. 3 stepchildren Kenneth Bjurstrom, Jeffrey Bjurstrom, and Stephane Salonen, a step grand daughter and a step great granddaught.
Herbert was also preceeded in death by his wife Janet, 1 sister Lila Bono and a brother in-law, Joseph Bono.
Private services will be held at a later date.
