Hilda Johnson, 85, lifelong resident of Ontonagon, MI, passed on to eternal rest at home on November 12, 2025.

Hilda was born on December 22, 1939 to Yalmer and Lily (Putula)  Laingren of Ontonagon, MI. She graduated from Ontonagon School with the Class of 1958 and went on to spend many years doing various secretarial and clerical positions.

Hilda is survived by her life partner, Francis "Toots" Floyd. Children Kim Baker, Gary (Jen Heikkila) Johnson, and Deb (Rob) Parker. A brother Jalmer Laingren of Bergland. Grandchildren Tara (Jason) Strelow, Derek (Katie) Baker, Rick (Stephanie) Parker, and Brigett (Matt) Johnson.  Along with 8 great grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Tahtinen, and brother Jim Laingren.

There will be a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon at 1PM Saturday, November 29, 2025, with a luncheon to follow at The Eagles Club in Ontonagon.
