J. Hamilton Hazen 72 passed away at his home in Watersmeet, MI on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

He was born September 26, 1949 to Jack & Margaret (Brunk) Hazen.

J. lived and worked for the Lac Vieux Desert Tribe. He was a well-loved and a caring man. J. was highly respected in the community. He will be loved and missed Always and Forever.

J. is survived by his wife Loretta Hazen, brother Robert (Bonnie) Hazen of Bruce Crossing, sister Margaret (William) Haapala of Bruce Crossing daughters Misty Rodriquez & Lisa (Donald) Bortz 5 grandchildren Breanna, Dakota, Addison, Haley and Laurel as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret (Brunk) Hazen, father Jack Hazen brothers Jack Hazen, Patrick Hazen, Franklin Hazen, Mike Hazen, Sr. & Leroy Hazen and sister Roberta (Hazen) Blair.

A Wake will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 4 pm Central time at the LVD Spiritual Center in Watersmeet, MI. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 10 am Central time the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Watersmeet.

Burial will take place in the Watersmeet Township Cemetery – Spring 2022.
