Jack Matthew Pottala 83, of Kenton, Michigan passed away on January 14th., at the Iron County Medical Care Facility where he had been  a resident for the last 4 years.

Jack was born in Kenton, Michigan to Charles and Anita Pottala on May 20th, 1934.

He married Dorothy Timoshuk and the couple had 7 children.  He worked in the woods as a self-employed logger until his retirement.

Jack is survived by his wife Dorothy, his children, Robert (Darla) Timoshuk, Kenosha, Tina (Roger) LaBine, Bonnie Pottala, Linda Pottala of Trout Creek, Jack Pottala Jr. of Ohio , Laura Pottala of Georgia and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kathleen, and a grandson Robert

"Bert" Timoshuk, his brothers Toivo, Carl, and sister Julia.

Visitation will be at the Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing on Wednesday,January 17th from 6-8 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Thursday, January 18th at the Cane Funeral home,  A spring burial will take place at the Kenton Cemetery with the Cane funeral home assisting the family.
