Jack C. Roehm 86 of Ontonagon passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit.
He was born on March 15, 1922 in Ontonagon to the late Charles and Sally (Miller) Roehm. Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Jack's first wife Dorothy passed away in 1950 during child birth. In 1954 he married his current wife Pat Roehm. Jack worked all his life as a body man. He liked to tell people that he worked on every type of car ever made. Jack loved to hunt deer and bear. This year was the first year he wasn't able to make it to camp for hunting season.
Jack is survived by his wife Pat, son John, daughter Dorothy Smith, 4 grandchildren, sister Alice and good friend Bill Armetige.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dorothy and brother Donald.
A memorial service will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in the spring. The date and time will be announced in the spring by Cane Funeral Home. Friends of Jack can view his obituary and leave condolences at canefuneralhome.com.
