Jacob Walter Luokka 74 of Ontonagon passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

He was born June 23, 1934 in Portage Township to the late Jacob & Regina (Karvonen) Luokka. Jacob loved to watch sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. He liked to hunt and fish and go to camp. Jacob enjoyed spending time with friends and family going camping and to picnics.

He is survived by his sisters Martha Parkin of Ontonagon and Anna "Betty" (Doug) Hendrickson of White Pine as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clifford and an infant brother Charles.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1st at 11 a.m. at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon with Pastor Howard Neider officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be in the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Houghton.
