James Lee Blodgett

Jim passed away on May 8, 2011, at age 75, after a long and valiant fight against lung cancer.

He is survived by his four children, Leann (and Gary) Gessler, Southfield, Michigan, Debbie Mykkanen, Post Falls, Idaho, Kevin Blodgett, Ontonagon, Michigan, Mike Blodgett, Ironwood, Michigan; and by seven grandchildren, Sarah and Beth Mykkanen, Portland, Oregon, Joshua, Jeremy, and Jason Blodgett, Bremerton, Washington, Stephanie Blodgett, Minot, North Dakota, and Cameron Blodgett, Ontonagon, Michigan. He was married to three lovely ladies, Carol (Guilbault), Donna (Felton), and Roberta (Bray).

Jim was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 9, 1936 to Zelda and Carl Blodgett. He started his career as a fire fighter and flight school instructor but his job history was quite varied. Jim, born with the "gift of gab", loved connecting with people and he did everything from selling cars to performing marriages as a Magistrate of the Court.
