JAMES "JIM" HAROLD DAVISON SR – Born: 12/30/1949 in Ontonagon, MI son of Robert E. Davison Jr & Marian (Naneville) Davison passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, while surrounded by his family.

Jim was married to Kay Gerzetich on July 21, 1973, in Ontonagon, Michigan at Holy Family Catholic Church. They made their home in Ontonagon until moving to Gladstone, Michigan to be closer to their children. Jim retired after spending over 20 years as manager of the Lake Superior Credit Union and served his community for many years as treasurer of the Ontonagon Volunteer Fire Department following in his father & grandfather's footsteps. He enjoyed partridge hunting, genealogy, watching FOX News, the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Michigan Wolverines football. Most of all, he enjoyed raising his children, watching their families grow and made sure to attend his grandchildren's sporting events & activities.

Jim is survived by his Son: James "Jamie" (Kayla) Davison Jr, Daughter: Jeanette (Joe) Darmogray, Daughter: Katherine (Toby) Loehr, Grandchildren: Kyle & Tyler Darmogray, Austin, Payton & Allison Loehr and Lorelei Davison, Grand-dog: Rusty Darmogray, Brother: Robert E (Ann) Davison III, Sister In-Law: Delores (Picotte) Gerzetich, Brother In-Law: James (Kate) Gerzetich along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Wife: Kay (Gerzetich) Davison, Son: Jeremy John Davison, Parents: Robert E (Marian) Davison Jr, Sister In-Laws: Mary Ann (Gerzetich) & Donald Wolf, Frances (Gerzetich) & James O'Reilly, Brother In-Laws: Joseph "Joe" Gerzetich, Mathew "Matt" Gerzetich and Robert Gerzetich, Father & Mother In-Law: Frank & Katherine (Stipetich) Gerzetich.

A graveside funeral service will be held May 24, 2025, at 1:30pm at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. A gathering of family & friends will take place following the service at the Holy Family Catholic Church, in the basement.

The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family.
