IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Jim"
Koski
December 8, 1970 – August 13, 2006
James "Jim" Arthur Koski, 35, of Ontonagon, who was affectionately called "Bucket" by his friends, passed way Aug. 13, 2006, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn., following a motorcycle-deer accident on Aug. 10, 2006.
He was born on Dec. 8 1970. As a youth, Jim began hunting with his father and later enjoyed fishing as well. Throughout his school years, he was a boy scout and an altar boy. He participated in skiing, track, throwing shot put, hockey as a goalie and football. Jim won several awards in football, including all U.P. During his senior year he was one of the captains. That year, the football team took second in the state finals at the Pontiac Silver Dome in Lower Michigan. While attending Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Jim played Rugby. His other loves were spending time with his friends and their families, working on older cars and his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and riding with his friends.
Jim was very compassionate and helped others in any way he could. He had a big heart and now his heart and other organs will be giving the gift of life to three other people, thus far, through organ donations.
Jim is survived by his parents, Jerry and Linda Koski of Ontonagon, one sister Kristie Koski of Phoenix; maternal grandparents, Marshall (Bing) and Kiyo (Kitty) Bourbonais of Ontonagon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service was held at the Cane Funeral Home Aug. 16, 2006 and at the Holy Family Catholic Church on Aug. 17th 2006. Friends may sign Jim's guest book and leave condolences at canefuneralhome.com
