James F. Turcotte, 69, of Ontonagon passed away peacefully Sunday, April 13, 2017 at Aspirus Ontonagon Long Term Care, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.  He was born in Flint, MI April 29, 1948 to Hugh & Dorothy Turcotte and grew up in Grand Blanc, MI.

Before moving to Ontonagon, Jim lived in the Traverse City area for many years, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially golfing.

He is survived by a sister, Sharon Turcotte of Mt. Morris, MI; brother-in-law William Tallmadge of Arizona; one niece, three nephew's and friend and former spouse Linda.

Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service is planned for the fall season.  Memorial contributions may be made to OCAP or Alzheimers Association or the charity of one's choice.

The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family with arrangements.
