James Delmar Walters "Chiefy", age 85, of Ontonagon passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2020. He was born on March 16, 1935 in Rockland to Mary and Delmar Walters.

Jim "Chiefy" worked at White Pine Copper where he retired after 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the woods and was a member of Totem Inn Hunt Club for 44 years.

He is survived by special friend, Charlotte, sons James and Pete, daughter Peggy Ann, Pat Walters, brother Howie, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Delmar.

A memorial service will be held on a later date.

The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
