Jeanne Marie Hicks, 93,  passed away on March 15, 2020, at her home in Ewen, Michigan.

Jeanne was born in Chicago, IL to Eugene & Donna Potter on July 27, 1926. She married Frank Hicks on October 26, 1946, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ewen, with the Rev. V.C. Savageau officiating.

She was an active member of the Church, the Ewen American Legion Aux., Cloverland Senior Center, the McMillan Township Library, and the Community.

Jeanne is survived by her beloved sister, Connie Platske, son James Hicks, daughters Connie & Anita Hicks,& Carol (Phil) Maki.  Grandchildren Michelle & John (Jen) Livingston, Lisa & James Hicks, Timothy & Jon (Beth) Hermes, great grandchildren Aaron & Annalise, Caroline & Veronica, Kara & Rebecca.  Very special nieces, nephews, and extended family members, Also a faithful companion, her little dog, Ashton.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, & daughter Barbara.

Jeanne loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, swimming with her sister, baking & cooking for family & friends, Playing cards with her "card family" & bird watching with Ashton.

Her family and friends will forever hold the memories of her exuberance for life, her pleasure of life's "simple things", and her sincere gratitude and appreciation for everyone she encountered in her lifetime.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 11th at 11 a.m. at the Bruce Crossing Bible Church in Bruce Crossing, MI.  Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the celebration. Inurnment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen, MI.
