Jerry Haataja, 73, of Trout Creek, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 23, 2025.

He was born October 5, 1951, to Edwin Haataja and Sylvia Anderson. Jerry was a retired Iron Worker in the construction industry. He enjoyed fly fishing during his life.

Jerry is survived by a daughter Amy Leppanen, brothers Chuck Haataja and Lawrence Hash and sisters Pixie Daggett and Kerry Conkright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Jack Haataja, sisters Nancy Ojaniemi and Elaine Hash and brothers Tom Haataja and Robert Hash.

Jerry's family is planning a service for later this spring.

Cane Funeral Home - Bruce Crossing Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
