Jerry A. Preiss, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Marquette General Hospital. He was born and raised in Rockland, MI to Llewellyn & Marion Preiss on March 11, 1941.

Jerry was employed at the Paper Mill for over 40 years.  He enjoyed watching his grandkids play basketball and spending time with them and his sons at camp, also spending time at his friend, Wayne Solberg's garage.  Wayne also gave him his nickname the Agitator.  He also enjoyed making his winter firewood, riding his 4 wheeler and putzing in his garage.

He is survived by his wife, Patty (Geist).  Two sons; Jerry Joe Preiss (Linnea) and Tim (Deb) Preiss. One daughter; Tara (Mike) Parent.  Nine Grandchildren; Troy, Logan, Ryan, Jesse, Alyssa, Sara, Keaton, Tristan and Ashtyn.  Two Great- grandchildren; Luca and Lennon.  Three Brothers: Merrill (Kay), Kenny (DeeDee) and Robert Preiss. One Sister; Pat (Russell) Petersen. Sister-in-laws & Brother-in-laws ; Betty Jo, Kathy Geist,  Dale Parent & Walter Tuomi.   Longtime family friend; Erik "Cracker" Hill. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Llewellyn & Marion Preiss. In-Laws Alvin and Mina Geist. Sister; Joanne Kerr. Sister-in-laws Delores Preiss, Judy Mclean, Sally White & Nancy Geist.   Brother-in-laws; Howard Kerr &  William Geist

Graveside services will take place Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery, Ontonagon, MI at 1:00PM with the Reverend Jeannie Manning officiating.

The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family with arrangements.
