John Wilfred Hardy, 89 of Mass City passed away on August 17, 2015 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit. John was born on August 5, 1926 to Emil and Hilda Hardy. After graduating from Mass High School in 1944, he served two years in the US Army. He then returned home to Mass City to work as a logger.

John is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Hilda; brother Raymond Hardy and sister Mildred Hemmila.

Funeral Services for John will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mass City. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland.
