John R. Hautamaki 55 of Agate passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 at his home.
John was born in Agate, MI October 27, 1951 son of the late Walter & Florence (Merila) Hautamaki.
After graduating high school he served his country in the United Stated Army. John was stationed in Korea during the 1970's. John loved the outdoors and hunting. He enjoyed bowling and watching Green Bay Packer football. John worked at the White Pine Copper mine until its closing. He also worked as a mechanic with his brother at Hautamaki Mechanical and in the woods as an equipment operator.
John is survived by his son Alan (Dana) Mackey, granddaughters Reese and Qynn Mackey, brothers Ron (Linda) of Clarkston, Alton (Carol) of Colorado, Eugene (Sally) of Trout Creek, Joe of Bruce Crossing and Tony (Vicki) of Ontonagon, sisters Sharon DeVowe of Iron River, Ann (Tom) Colgin of Ontonagon and June (Bob) Reichardt of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Bruce & Roy, 2 nephews Jason & Matt Hautamaki and numerous uncles and aunts.
Funereal services will be held Tuesday, August 28th at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trout Creek. Friends may call at the church 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Agate Cemetery in Trout Creek. Friends may view John's obituary and leave condolences at canefuneralhome.com.
