Obituary

John A. Ojala, Jr., 69, of Bruce Crossing, passed away January 26, 2011 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising.

John was born in Bruce Crossing on June 28, 1941 to parents John Sr. and Elsie (Juntunen) Ojala. He grew up in Bruce Crossing, and was employed as a mechanic at Case Equipment of Milwaukee, Labyak's of Ontonagon, and Big Valley Ford of Ewen. John enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Elsie; wife, Barbara Hitchens; brother, Donald; and sister, Anne. He is survived by brothers Ray (JoAnn) of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Edward of Brigham City, Utah, and Richard (Doreen) of St. Francis Minnesota; sisters, Elsie Blank of Boerne, Texas and Linda (David) Robl of Ewen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Cremation has taken place and a small gathering will be held in the spring.
