In Loving Memory of Johnathan Raymond

November 20, 1981 – October 22, 2025

Our hearts are broken as we share the passing of Johnathan Raymond, age 43, who left this world far too soon on October 22, 2025. Johnathan was born in Ontonagon, Michigan, and for the past 13 years, he and his wife built their life together in Calumet, a place they made their home, filled with memories, laughter, and the joy of watching their children grow.

Johnathan loved life (really loved it) and he had a way of making everyone around him feel that same joy. Whether he was out fishing, working with his hands, or tearing down a trail on something with fewer than four wheels, he lived every moment to the fullest. He was one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet, and everything he did was driven by his love for his family. His smile, his humor, and his big-hearted energy filled every room he walked into. His love for his family was endless, and his presence could light up any room.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Gina, and his children Tyerra (fiancé Haiden), Scott (fiancé Tristen), Dakota, Austin, Chad, and Lucas who will carry his strength and spirit forward. He was a proud grandpa to his two beautiful grandchildren, Azaria and Everest, who brought him so much happiness. He is also survived by his mother, Janet (Lobeck) Raymond, his beloved sister, Jen Raymond, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who adored him.

Johnathan is preceded in death by his precious daughter Kyra Beth Raymond, his father Valentino Raymond, his grandparents, Ardell & Anna, and his brother-in-law, Aaron Arceci, who we know were waiting to welcome him home . He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law David Arceci,  his sister-in-law Lisa Arceci and Gina's grandparents David & Estelle O'Neil and Leon & Shirley Arceci.

Johnathan touched countless hearts and left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. His laughter, kindness, and stubborn strength will never be forgotten. His sister Jennifer shared these words that speak for all of us who loved him: "I am so proud of all of his accomplishments in life, big or small. He was my forever friend. I will miss him dearly and keep him in my heart forever." Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will last a lifetime. His love lives on in his family, in every story told, and in every heart he touched.

A memorial service will be held on November 8, 2025, at 3:00pm at Siloa Lutheran Church in Ontonagon, Michigan, with visitation from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Pastor Ted Trudgeon will be officiating.
