Julia Margaret Linna, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 10, 1943, Julia lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and unwavering faith.
As a devoted homemaker and steadfast supporter of her family, Julia cherished her roles as a mother to her sons, Scott and Chad Linna, as well as a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Anders, Annikka, and Taavi. Julia's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she also found fulfillment working for many years at Settlers COOP. Her passion for baking and gardening brought joy not only to her home but also to all who were fortunate enough to share in her Finnish culinary delights and admire her vibrant garden.
A lifelong member of her church community, Julia took great comfort in her faith and the support of her church family, embracing the bonds formed through shared beliefs and values. She will be dearly missed by her sisters-Judy, Ann, and Arlene-as well as by countless friends and neighbors whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. Julia is now reunited with her late husband, Marvin Linna, her late son Steven and her late brothers, Robert and Henry.
Funeral services to honor Julia's remarkable life will be held 10am, Saturday August, 29th at First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing. Family and friends can gather to reflect on her legacy, share memories, and celebrate the love she so freely gave one hour prior at 9am. As we say goodbye to a remarkable woman, we hold in our hearts the spirit of compassion, resilience, and joy that defined Julia's life. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Her family invites all who knew and loved Julia to join in commemorating her beautiful journey and to draw strength from each other as we navigate the profound loss of such a cherished soul.
