K. Wilheimina Seid, age 103, of Bangor, Mi formerly of Ontonagon and Rockland, passed away Sunday August 20, 2006 at her home.

Mrs. Seid was born July 17, 1903 in Painesdale, MI, the daughter of Andrew and Kate (Mattila) Laru.

In 1921 she married Edward Seid, who preceded her in death in 1983. She lived the majority of her life in the Rockland area and worked for the Ontonagon Consolidated Schools. In 1982 she moved to Ontonagon where she lived until moving to Bangor in 1992.

Mrs. Seid is survived by a son, Rev. William Seid of Twin Lakes, MI; 7 daughters, Edna Kimmel of Bangor, Margaret Bratu of Ironwood, Beatrice Kimmel of Bangor, Catherine Vance of Bangor, Beverly Smith of Iron Mountain, Carrol Otterson of Bangor, Gladys Seid of Bangor; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; one sister, Eva Kernan of Ontonagon.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Seid, and a daughter, Mirla Axley.

The family will meet friends from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 24, 2006 at the Cane Funeral Home, in Ontonagon with her nephew, Rev. Robert Dow officiating. Internment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, in Rockland. The family suggest memorial's in her memory be made to the South Haven Area Hospice, P.O.
