Karla Sue Croteau, 44 of Rockland passed away at the Aspirus Ontonagon  Memorial Hospital on Tuesday,  March 10, 2015 after losing her courageous battle to lung cancer.

Karla was born in Ontonagon on April 13, 1970 to Richard (Dick) and Marilys Floyd. She attended the Ontonagon Area Schools and on December 3, 1987 she married her high-school sweetheart James(Jim)Croteau.

Karla was a great friend to many and enjoyed visiting with them over coffee. Karla was a lover of dogs and enjoyed reading,  crocheting and tending to houseplants.  Her favorite places to camp with her family was at Courtney and Pike Lake.

Karla is survived by her husband Jim, sons Thomas(20), Floyd(18), Tyler(15) and their adopted son, Tyler Penfold. Parents Richard & Marilys Floyd, Sisters Kathy (Chuck) Kotlaris of Nashville TN, and Karen Seid of Rockland and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Rockland MI with Pastor Bruce Steinberg officiating.

Visitation will start at 11:00 with service to follow at 12:00.
