Kathleen Hoeft 88 of Ontonagon, MI passed away October 17, 2006 at St. Claire's Hospital in Wausau, WI.

She was born July 1, 1918 in Detroit, MI to Ida & Eldred Menoher. She moved to Madison, WI several years later.

Kathleen was married to John Hoeft on June 27, 1942. They raised 5 children and where happily married for 35 years until John's death in 1977.

She was active in Ontonagon Women's Club, Historical Society, Wednesday Ladies Club, Women's Extension and the Alter Guild

Kathleen is survived by sons John (Louise) Hoeft, Ed (Jane) Hoeft and Tom Hoeft, daughters Barb (George) Pedersen and Sue (Lance) Stell, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson Paul Hoeft.

Visitation will be held at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon on Thursday October 19th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral mass will take place Friday 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon. Friends may call at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
