Kathleen (Kay) Preiss

Kathleen (Kay) Jane Preiss, 77, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2019. with her loving husband and children at her side. Kathleen was born February 5, 1942, to Wayne and Valerie Peters in Wayne, Michigan. On December 10, 1957, she married Merrill Preiss in Ontonagon, Michigan. The couple proudly raised their five children in Rockland. Kathleen loved many things in her life: her family, views from the picture window at the old red house, taking walks on the farm, attending Sunday morning church services, being a foster parent to many children, the Rockland Library, flower gardening, and taking pictures of nature.

Survivors include Merrill, her husband of 61 years, two sons, Merrill Jr. (Candy Steed), Rockland; Michael Preiss, Newton, Kansas; and two daughters Peggy (Brian) Killoran, Rockland; and Tammy (Kevin) Kilstofte, Green Bay. Three granddaughters, Jaime (Jon) Uotila, Trisha (Kip) McIntyre, and Savannah (Levi) Schoenick; three grandsons, Brian (Bud) (Casey) Killoran, Aaron (Martha) Killoran, and Kaleb ( Missy ) Preiss, and twelve great-grandchildren.  Nine siblings; Valerie, Patricia, Wayne, Linda, Sally, John, James, Steven, and David.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Paul, and her brothers Michael and Richard.

Services for Kathleen will be held at Assembly of God Church in Ontonagon on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11:00 am. There will be visitation prior to the service at the church from 9:30 am -11:00 am. A funeral luncheon will be held at the Rockland Town Hall immediately after the service. Interment will be at a later date at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Rockland.
