Linda L. Lannet, 77, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Bruce Crossing, MI on February 23, 2024. Linda was born to Olga and Ernest Cummings of Sidnaw, MI on December 2, 1946 in Marquette, MI.

Linda graduated from L'Anse High School in 1964. Over the years she was employed at Mitzy's Restaurant, Tulppo's Restaurant, Toomey Nursery, Wood Development and Settler's Co-Op.

Linda married Edward Lannet on November 5, 1966 in Covington, MI. Linda and Ed went on to have two children, Mary and Amanda. Linda enjoyed her hobbies of canning vegetables, bowling, playing bingo, dancing, volunteering at the VFW Post 9345 and spending time with her family. She always knew how to play the best pranks and put a smile on people's faces.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward; her daughters, Mary Cummings and Amanda (Samuel) Brady; two granddaughters, who were her pride and joy, Alexis (Jacob) Brady and Kaitlyn Brady; her brothers-in-law, Niles Eilertsen, Ernest (Lisa) Lannet and John (Gail) Lannet; her sisters-in- law, Judith Lannet, Doris Dallas and Kay (Dennis) Mayotte; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, her brothers Walfred and Ernest, her sister Mary Ann Eilertsen and her twin sister Linnea Bishoff; her brothers-in-law Kenneth and Robert Lannet; her sister-in-law Clara Lannet and son-in-law Dennis Cummings.

A graveside memorial service will be held on April 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Paynesville Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the VFW Post 9345, Bruce Crossing, MI. Interment will be at the Paynesville Cemetery, in Paynesville, MI.
