Linda M. (Conklin) LaPlant, 61, of Ontonagon entered Eternal Life on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.

Linda was born March 3, 1951 in St. Clair, Michigan to Glen and JoAnn Roth. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1969. She worked as a Nurse's Aide at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital for nearly 20 years.

Linda enjoyed camping, knitting, game shows, her computer and her dog Chewey. She was a very caring and giving person; and was a faithful supporter of the St. Nicholas Project, donating countless knitted items to those in need. Linda will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her spouse and companion of 32 years, Rodney LaPlant; her daughters Rose (Dennis) Grulkowski of Kewaunee, WI and Jennie (Curt) Stalker of DePere, WI; grandchildren Tyler and Dustin Skoviak and Christopher and RaAnne Grulkowski; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Frank (Dawn), Glen (Dena), Jeff (Peggy) and James (Kim); sister Becky; sisters-in-law Sandy, Debbie and Barbara; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother JoAnn and brother Chuck.

In accordance with Linda's wishes, there will be no services.
