Linnea A. Parent (former1y I. Linnea Anderson). 79, passed away Tuesday morning March 24, 2009 at a hospital in Golden Valley, MN after a long battle with a severe degenerative muscle disease. She was born in Ontonagon MI. Linnea and Theodore Parent were married on May 20, 1950 at Siloa Lutheran Church in Ontonagon, MI. Linnea retired in 1991 from Ford Motor Company after 42 years of service and dedication.

She was a faithful, loving, caring wife and mother to her husband and only child. Her husband, child, family and friends will remember her as a woman of poise and grace that had a presence about her that nothing could eclipse. A force to be reckoned with but also a tender, gentle, supportive woman who was gracious to people in their successes and helped them over the rough spots of life. Linnea lived and enjoyed a very full life. She was a successful businesswoman and an unparalleled mother and wife. She married a wonderful man who unconditionally loved and adored her. She was respected and loved by her husband and only son as well as by her extensive family and friends. Linnea will be truly missed and always remembered indelibly by all who knew her.

Linnea A. Parent was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Wendala Anderson; brothers, Carl, Wendell & Edwin Anderson

She leaves to cherish her memory; her beloved husband Theodore E. Parent; son, Todd J. Parent and his life partner Kristen Reynolds; brother Elmer Anderson; sister in-laws Delores Grundy, Anita Anderson, Sally Spitz and her husband Willard as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Friday, May 8th 2009 at Siloa Lutheran Church located at 218 E. River Street Ontonagon, MI. Officiating Pastor Penny Olson. Graveside service immediately following at the Riverside Cemetery. Immediately following services all are invited to a Celebration of Life Reception in honor of Linnea at the VFW located at 915 River Street Ontonagon, MI.
