Lucille June Killoran, 86, of Ontonagon, passed away on March 28, 2008 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.

Lucy was born June 1, 1921 in Ontonagon, Michigan, to Henry and Elizabeth Nehmer. She was a 1939 graduate of Ontonagon High School. Lucy married Sheldon Ellison in 1943. They had three children. Sheldon preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Howard Killoran in 1970. Together they enjoyed their retirement until his death in 1998. Since Howard's death, Lucy has lived with her daughters during the summer and spent the winters in Florida with her sisters.

Known by many as Honey, Lucy has lived her life to the fullest. She loved organizing family get togethers and enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of the many things Lucy enjoyed in her life included swimming, spending summers at her cottage at Twin Lakes, gardening, making jelly and helping others.

Lucy is survived by her children, Judith (George) Domitrovich of Ontonagon, Sheldon (Joann) Ellison of Norway, Michigan and Elizabeth (David) Penegor of Ontonagon; sisters Marion Lutz and Grace Nehmer; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Nehmer; husbands Sheldon Ellison and Howard Killoran; brother Ed Nehmer, sisters Evelyn Watt, Gladys Bear, Martha Szott, Millie McMannus, Stacia Danks and infant siblings Margie and Henry Nehmer, and daughter in law, Sandi Ellison.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Ontonagon United Methodist Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Ontonagon United Methodist Church.
